Client Intake - Real Estate Sale

    If there are more than two sellers, please check "Two", fill in the form, and fill in the information requested below for additional sellers under the heading "More Than Two Clients."
    A matrimonial home means every property in which either spouse (legally married, not at common law) has an interest and which is "ordinarily occupied by the person and his or her spouse as their family residence.” Thus, more than one home can qualify as a matrimonial home. For example, if legally married spouses have a cottage that they also use regularly as a family, the cottage will be a second matrimonial home.

              If not provided, we would need to order a tax certificate. The cost in Ottawa is $67.00.
            • We absolutely need the mortgage reference number included in the information. When we sell your property, we would need to discharge all existing mortgages in the property. In order to do so, we would need to contact the holders of those mortgages and obtain a discharge statement telling us precisely how much is owed to the date of closing.
